Not quite a week, but almost!

I keep on meaning to update, but as one day passes, so does another.... To be fair, I've been rather busy.

All of my midterms are finished now! I'm pretty sure I bombed my math exam, but that is just how it goes. I wasn't born with the same math skill as my elder brother, so that's just how it is. All of my other exams were fairly easy!

And movies we have watched since then.... My entire family has been rather busy, and the media world has been busy with all the award shows! It's trying to actually fit in a film watching.

A few nights ago we watched Despicable Me since everyone was tired and we had all seen it before. It's a pretty damn heart-warming film. I really enjoy it.

We also went to the theatre and saw Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. If you are looking for old man eye candy, maybe this movie is for you. I, for one, enjoy the old men, but I found the plot interesting, too. Albeit a bit hard to follow due to the numerous names and faces that aren't always obviously tied together (and some of their accents).... I think if I had read the novel beforehand or had been watching it with full subtitles, I might have fared better.

I need most everything with subtitles nowadays. My sister had tainted me! She watches everything with english subtitles if the film allows it.

And - the inevitable - let's talk about anime.

1. Katekyou Hitman Reborn!

I've completely caught up with the manga, and it's fair to say I'm absolutely addicted. The plot is stupid as heck, the characters are silly, but I'm loving every second of it. I really like the Shimon family and I'm glad they're staying in the story. Shitt P is ranking high in my favourite characters. She is such a babe!

I've also picked up the anime, in which I am on episode 2. Leave it to Artland to create utter shittery out of a nice style, but that's just how it goes. They absolutely murdered Eyeshield 21, I wasn't expecting much from this. Keep it in mind, it's been a few years since my initial viewing and my tolerance with anime quality is much tighter now. I'm watching these low-quality anime from a few years ago in between the currently airing shows and the difference is painful many times. It's okay, though, because I am getting a lot of laughs out... even though it is in a way the studio was probably not hoping for....

2. Kill Me Baby

I read what was released of the manga a while back and thought it was funny enough. When I heard they were going to animate it I was stoked! But now that it is released.... I much wish that Recorder to Randoseru and Kill Me Baby would switch time lengths. Sonya is the only character with a tolerable voice. The other two goons literally put me to sleep. I am not joking. I got 16 minutes into the episode, lay down on my bed, fell asleep for 15 hours. It's bad stuff. The gags are too slow, the speech to slow. I'm just not having it. Thinking of dropping (which I never EVER do.)

3. Recorder to Randoseru

3 minutes of pure humour. I really like quick and short gags (like Gag Manga Biyori) so this was right up my alley. Nothing much to say beyond this except I hope there will be quite a few of these little shorts!

4 Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou

I've only seen the single episode so far, but this is a pretty funny show, too. It can pull itself well, and Gintoki's seiyuu (name on tip of tongue) does a really great job as glasses friend. I haven't bothered remembering their names yet. I really loved the riverside scene.

5. Inu x Boku SS

Manga is tiring. Anime is just as if not more tiring. All of the characters are rather uninteresting. Hm.

6. Litchi Hikari Club

My friend had been talking about this for a long time, and two days ago I finally took the bait and read it.

Damn. It's amazing. I really enjoyed it. The art, the story, the everything. Of all the characters, Litchi, Niko, and Kanon were the most interesting. Nice urinal jab.

And well....

Redline is coming out tomorrow! If I end up picking it up, we'll be watching that.

See you.
